Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978, was the daughter of Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her mother and father are both Puerto Ricans. Her mother is Puerto Rican and her father is Dominican. She and her family moved from Queens in New York and to the Dominican Republic when she was 10; they lived in the Dominican Republic for 7 years. Zoe's love for dancing was spurred by the time they were living in the Dominican. Zoe started her dance learning at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy. Training was not only an excellent way to exercise this enthusiastic youngster but also a good training for her future acting career.
