Charissa was born in Seattle Washington, United States on May 4, 1982. ESPN analyst was chosen to co-host SportsNation for 2012. She hosted ABC's Splash series along with Joey Lawrence. Thompson grew up living in Seattle Washington. Youngest of the three, Thompson wanted to pursue a career in broadcasting at a young age. She attended Inglemoor High School, Kenmore Washington. Thompson left Washington for California for the purpose of enrolment in a community college. In addition, she obtained California residency. Then she transferred to University of California Santa Barbara. She earned her degree in Law and Society with a Bachelor of Arts in the year 2004. In 2004, Sports Illustrated wrote she left Washington State (WSU) in order to attend community college in California after which she transferred onto UC Santa Barbara Thompson has confirmed that she was not a student at WSU. Thompson who was an ex-sports broadcaster at Sports Illustrated, received an email offering to have her body painted as well as make an appearance in an Swimsuit edition.
