Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Her modelling career began in Italy which is in which she was born and raised, before being was born in California. She began her acting career at the age of 16 in The TV production Her Costly Affair. Then, in a minor role in the movie Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. It was difficult for her to transition from modeling to acting since the models werent usually considered to be good actors, and they were usually assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy was determined to keep trying. She worked her way up to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Amy later stepped into lead roles in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd been looking for for over a decade. Amy went on to work in several of the most famous movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
